Petty? Sure, but fun.
On the way to work, I was doing 70 in a 60 mph zone. 201 at that point is just a two lane job. I was in the left lane passing a garbage truck when a glance in my rear view revealed some lady in a Ford just hugging my bumper to no end. She was close enough that I could clearly see every whisker on her chin.
Her firm set mouth set below her enormous bug-eyed sunglasses let me know she was itching to get a move on despite the fact we were already speeding. I eased off the gas so I wouldn’t completely pass the garbage truck. I ended up half a car length ahead. I think the garbage truck driver read my mind because he sped up until we were nose to nose and then matched my speed.
I couldn’t help but laugh as I looked in my mirror again. The lady trapped in the Ford behind us was not happy.
But I was.
We were on the “on ramp” the other day, and the guy behind us in the huge redneck truck would not get off our butt. Dave hit the brakes and the guy threw a fit. He pulled up beside us on the freeway, cussing and screaming, and then tried to be “agressive” with his big ol truck. He passed us and then went really slow, daring us to catch up. What a moron. I told Dave that I could take him, but he didn’t think it would be a good example for the boys. lol
Power block! That’s so funny. My roommates and I used to do that when driving to/from college. But that’s hilarious that the truck driver knew what was going on and helped you block her out. Awesome!
YES! I love tormenting drivers who get ripped about dumb stuff like me going slower than they want.
I had a dork riding my bumper down the on ramp the other day. I could see him in my rearview yelling and waving his hands for me to get moving. I of course waved back instructing him to cook his shorts in the hot place.
He rode my bumper hard, do I did my favorite little tap the brakes so the brakes light come on, but don’t actually slow my vehicle. He swerved, as we exited the ramp, he punched it and changed lanes, so he was even with me. He was yelling and gesturing for me either to get off the road, or pull over so he could beat me senseless.
He again got the signal for the shorts thing. Moron. There are come things just not worth having a heart attack over.
