As a thirty-something who still loves to play video games, I sometimes think maybe I should stop the exciting gamer lifestyle. Maybe I should feel some sort of shame every time I pick up my controller and kill a bunch of Nazis, do a favor for Don Corleone, or win another Heisman.
Then I read a story like the following and realize, hey, I’m gonna be alright.
Chinese officials reported on Monday that a man died after a three-day gaming binge in a southern Chinese internet cafe.
Tragic? Yes.
Funny? You betcha.

That didn’t last long. Is anyone surprised?
Due to some unexplained medical reason, Paris has been released and placed on house arrest. Her sentence was changed back to the original 45 days, so she will spend the remaining 40 days of that sentence confined to her home with an ankle bracelet.
Yeah, house arrest in a huge mansion with a pool. That’s gotta be tough. Way to prove you could take your lumps.

“During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes,” Hilton said in a statement through her lawyer.
“This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make.”
Uh, in the future you plan on taking more of an active role in your decisions? So, who’s role was it up till now? Your dog’s?
But, hey, she said she could have chosen a rich prison rather than going to county. But she wanted to show she could do it. Do what? She won’t have to mingle with other inmates. She will get private showers and private TV time. Oh, but wait, her cell phone was taken away.
You’re doing hard time now, baby!
